What is stud welding?

 

Stud welding is a kind of welding technology which is to weld the stud, needle like metal object or gasket on the metal plate. In fact, it is to connect the stud and the base metal by recrystallization. It should be emphasized that the objects to be welded can have holes, but not through holes (we usually call the studs of through holes as pipes).

 

Characteristics of stud welding: it belongs to full section welding, and it melts the stud to be welded, without the assistance of other fluxes or welding materials.
